Councillor Ben Thomas has reported on Twitter this evening that, “scaffolding [is] going around Gelynis footbridge tomorrow.” He also states that the repairs could take 2 weeks to complete.

People noted when we first reported this news that the bridge is frequently used and the alternative routes are not particularly safe.
