Cadw have announced details of the artists who’ll be working at Castell Coch in the coming months.
The artists are Lauren Heckler and John Abell. Lauren will work with digital media and performance, while John will be creating large scale work in the grounds.
Ffion Reynolds, Cadw’s Heritage and Arts Engagement Manager, said, “The artists will respond to Castell Coch as a whole — its physical site, but also the people that have been instrumental to its development over time, the architecture and the eccentric decoration within it.
“They will work across different themes, using different but complementing media to present Castell Coch to the public.”
Both artists have expressed a desire to work with the local community. We’ll be keeping in touch with them and reporting on their work and how you can get involved.
