The proposed Merthyr Road development went to planning committee on the 17th of September. Councillor Jonathan Evans, speaking on behalf of residents, requested that the committee carry out a site visit and the request was granted.
The planning committee are due to visit the site of the proposed development on Wednesday the 8th of October at 3:00pm.

Members of the “Tongwynlais – Our Neighbourhood” community group are planning to be present at the site visit to show their strong feelings about the plans. The group hope that the planning application is refused and that the area can be kept for use by the village.
