Barn or Field?
The Tongwynlais Primary School Summer Fair was a great success. The weather held off and visitors enjoyed lots of events on the field and some great stalls and face painting in the barn.
Out on the field the children enjoyed a bouncy slide, pugil sticks, coconut shy, football and lots of other stalls and games. I was very impressed with the prints from GJ-P Photography. They use “letter pictures” to spell words and I spotted a few taken around the village.
Inside the barn were toys and games, jewellery, smellies and artwork for sale. The face painters were also turning out numerous “Hello Kitty” lookalikes!
Burgers and hot dogs were served up by the BBQ boys (and girl) and Krispy Kreme doughnuts were available for those with a sweet tooth. The afternoon ended with local police officers in the stocks and the raffle draw inside the school hall.
We should thank the teachers, staff and PTA for their hard work in organising such a great event.
