We go to the polls on Thursday and you may be wondering who the candidates are. Our sister site, My Cardiff North, have put together all the information you need to know about the election.

“I am 32-years-old, born in Jersey, I grew up in Dorset before heading to Aberystwyth where I studied International Relations at university. I spent some time in Bath, working also in Bristol, before work brought me to Cardiff in 2013.”

“Growing up near Brecon, I came to Cardiff University and live here with my partner and two teenage daughters aged 14 and 16. I ensured that both daughters have learnt to speak Welsh speakers, they both went to Ysgol Gymraeg Melin Gruffydd in Whitchurch and are now at Ysgol Glantaf and Radyr Comprehensive.”

“My name is Steffan Webb. Born and bred in Cardiff, I have lived in Cardiff North for forty years in Rhiwbeina, Whitchurch, Thornhill, St Mellons and Llandaff North.”

“I have been the Member of Parliament for Cardiff North since winning the seat in 2015 until the dissolution of Parliament a month ago. Prior to that I served as a Cardiff city councillor for eight years, chairing our city’s Economic Committee and serving on the board of Cardiff Bus.”
