Forest Stoves and Fires have two new additions to their bird family. The peacocks, named Saffire and Teal, have joined the gleanies at the Forest Tea Room in Fforest Fawr, Tongwynlais.
Co-owner, David Vater, told me that the birds are still young and don’t have their full plumage yet. They are, however, getting used to their new home and can be seen around the tea room and surrounding woodland. I managed to get some good shots of the birds and they didn’t seem fazed at all.
I took this video a few weeks ago when they were still in the coop.
(The “gleanies” are helmeted guineafowl.)
