Social Media Roundup – October 2016

Social Media Roundup October 2016 header

I think I’ve said this before but this time I really mean it: It’s been a very, very busy month on the social media. I think it’s mainly down to Autumn and how ruddy beautiful it is round here!

Here’s our pick of the best stuff from October 2016.

The month began with the TON Group’s Tea and Cake Social. The community group did some housekeeping, ate cake and discussed future projects in the village. Would YOU like to get involved in local activities? These are the people to talk to.

Castell Coch’s brand new tea room opened without much fanfare. I spotted a magazine article online then contacted Cadw’s PR company for some official shots. Have you tried their menu yet? We’d love to here from you.

We went to the Forest Farm open day and had a great time getting back to nature. Nature’s a bit muddy for me, mind.

Castell Coch morning light. Really like this different view of the castle.

Some very nice art from the suspiciously named Stephen Inkpen.

The next Tongwynlais PACT meeting is coming up. We’re trying to break the record for the number of attendees so if you fancy coming along, the PCSOs would really appreciate it. If you can’t make it, Tweet me using #TonPACT and I’ll ask your questions.

The pop up cinema looked like it went well. They had pizza and beer so how could it not?

Local artist Amelia Thomas is creating a fantastic mural in the village hall. We went along to see her in action.

Cafe Arosfa opened on Monday from the folks behind the Forest Tea Room.

We created this little graphic of Castell Coch ghost stories.

Gale’s Fitbit must be working overtime with these beautiful Autumn colours. Here’s our regular “Gale’s Corner”.
