Tongwynlais.com was launched 6 months ago today. This is our review.
We have 212 Twitter followers, 71 Facebook Likes and lots of people viewing our Flickr photos. In addition to this, we’ve set up a Scribd account to publish documents and created a community noticeboard.
In September we were interviewed by WalesOnline. October featured a new website about the Taff Trail, advice from “The Bike Guy” and a report on Tongwynlais Temperance Band’s success in the National Brass Band Championships of Great Britain. In November we met up with the Castell Coch Choral Society and reported on the Christmas Craft Fair.
December was a busy time in the village with lots of events and the Christmas Fayre. In January we posted a gallery of photos taken during the snow and requested help tracking down some old photos of the village.
There’s lots of new content in the planning stages and some new contributors lined up for the next few months.
We’ve enjoyed a huge amount of feedback from people on social networks and via the contact form. Thanks to all those who’ve got in touch, offered help and used the site. We hope people find the site interesting and please tell all your friends and neighbours about it!
