Knowing you – knowing Ton
The first “Love Ton!” community event is next Saturday in the village hall. “Knowing you – knowing Ton” is an event dedicated to celebrating Tongwynlais and the great community we have.
A team of residents called the “Tongwynlais Community Group” have organised the event to celebrate the past, present and future of the village.
Join a Group
The following groups will be at the event with information and members to talk to about their activities:
- Bud ‘n’ Talents
- Ainon Church
- Tongwynlais Primary School
- WI
- St Michael’s Church
- Bethesda Church
- Community Council
- Castell Coch Choral Society
- Academy of Cheer and Dance
Several other groups have been invited but have yet to confirm.
Send us your Photos
Old photos of the village will be on display and the organisers invite you to send them any old photos of the village that you may have and would like to share. You can email them to tondevelopment@gmail.com.
Village Survey
Results from the village survey that took place last year will be available to view and there will be lots of ways to give further feedback.
Other Activities
The postcards that were distributed last weekend and returned to the Spar or Sugar & Spice will be displayed for everyone to read and enjoy. There will be interactive sessions to get your views on the village and what you’d like to be developed in the future.
In addition to all this, drinks and snacks will be available to purchase. We’ve been warned that the lemon drizzle cake will be in demand, so make sure you get some before it sells out!
Knowing you – knowing Ton is from 2:00 – 5:00pm on Saturday 29th March in the village hall. Entry is free.
