Have Your Say – Ask the Cardiff North Candidates

One of the easiest ways to ask the candidates a question is on Twitter. Use the #atcnc hashtag so we can collate the questions and answers for everyone to see. We’re going to organise a live “Tweet Chat” soon, which is a dedicated time when the candidates will be online and ready to answer questions.

Mari Williams – Labour party

Mari Williams

“I’m from Rhiwbina, went to school in Whitchurch High and until recently was a deputy head in a comprehensive school. Now living back in Rhiwbina I have already proved I can be a strong voice for local people.

Side by side with our Assembly Member, Julie Morgan I have led campaigns on improving local bus services, keeping Whitchurch post office in the village, securing a Green Belt and are fighting hard to Keep Our Libraries Open.”

One of Mari’s campaigns is to freeze energy prices.

Ruth Osner – Green Party

Ruth Osner

“I would like Cardiff North to have a stronger voice in Parliament. I want less inequality. Better secondary schools. More practical trades apprenticeships. No tuition fees and a citizens income for all. I want more investment in our nurses, doctors and hospitals and help provision of affordable social care for those who need it. I am in favour of bringing back the railways into public ownership. I think all producers should get a fair price for their product including British apples and milk.”

We’ve been in touch with Ruth and we’re hoping to arrange an interview soon to find out more about her campaign.
