Advertisers
The most fascinating part of the programme are the businesses who advertised in it.
L. J. & C. Bennett

Bennett’s Garage is now the New You Hair Lounge. There’s a great photo on my history page.
D. S. J. (Crafts) Limited
Conti’s – Fish and Chips Bar

W. R. Roberts & Sons Ltd. – Vale View Dairies

M. Evans – General Stores
L. Phillips – Newsagent Confectioner and Tobacconist
E. R. Hall – High-Class Family Butcher and Meat Purveyor

Norman T. Jones Removals
Dennis Davies – Castle Stores
Lewis Arms Hotel
S. J. Cradock & Son

The Lewis Arms is obviously still around, although no longer as a hotel. Again, you can see some old photos of my history page.
Goughs – Television Rental

The programme was printed by Evans & Short of Tonypandy.
Add Your Memories
Did you attend the investiture celebrations? Do you remember these businesses?
I’d love to add some more information about the 1969 celebrations and the businesses in the village over the years. You can get in touch using my feedback form, send me a tweet or message me on Instagram.
Street Party
Regular contributor Carol Spackman sent me these brilliant photos of a street party on Cae Lewis to celebrate the Investiture.
